Quantum Lock Receives Funding from Boyd Venture Challenge

Every semester at the University of Tennessee, a panel of judges hand-pick student entrepreneurs who submit a business plan to compete in the Boyd Venture Challenge for the chance to win up to $20,000 in seed funding. The competition allows each student 16 minutes to pitch their business plan. After discussion, they divide the funds among the student based on the quality of the pitch as well as need for the next steps.

Quantum Lock was awarded $5,000 in seed funding which was used to complete the second generation prototype of Gamma. This prototype is made with manufacturable materials and includes an app which communicates with the hardware via Bluetooth.
