Quantum Lock wins 1st Place at Stu Clark New Venture Championship

The Stu Clark New Venture Championship is an annual international business plan competition hosted by the Stu Clark Center for Entrepreneurship at the University of Manitoba for graduate students. The first place prize is $20,000 Canadian dollars with a additional elevator pitch competition prizes.

This year was the first virtual competition held with a 15 min pitch over zoom in front of a panel of esteemed judges who were investors and/or successful entrepreneurs.

After Quantum Lock submitted an application, we were able to participate in the 2 day competition as a semi-finalist. After the Quantum Lock founder and CEO, Erica Grant, pitched, we received valuable feedback and were selected as one of 4 finalist teams. The next day Erica pitched again and Quantum Lock received 1st place and $20,000 Canadian dollars in the business plan competition and 3rd place and $750 in the elevator pitch competition.

It was an honor to compete in this prestigious competition among so many other great startups. We would like to thank the Stu Clark Center for organizing a wonderful and welcoming competition, especially considering the challenges of a virtual competition.
